I know a lot of MnK are extremely happy with that, specially if you come from the nightmare of a game MWII is, but dudes, it is not fun to face someone that is quite obviously using a MnK when the aim assist for controller is this bad, I turned crossplay off just to be able to play the game and have fun, and even then against other controller players it just seems like the aim assist hits a very hard wall when the enemy moves to your weak side (left field view). Not perfect but significantly better, I’m surprised console hasn’t even gotten a recoil adjustment or a nerf for the crosshair dragging with the player yet (judging from what you’re saying).Hi, I am fairly new to the game since until today I finally got the chance to play it even though I have had access for some days now (I am a CoD veteran, been playing since CoD4), which is sort of good because I have had 0 issues with connection, getting shot around corners etc.No my biggest issue with the game is actually aim assist, I am not a MnK player, I play on Xbox with a regular Xbox controller and let me tell you, aim assist in this game is painful, my sensitivity is around 60 and 40 and both my dead zones are in 1 just to mimmick what aim assist is in some CoD games. Jumping over their head or around them is their crutch. Hipfire AA feels weak 1 tile away, past 2 it feels almost non existent (still there, just a smaller hitbox).įrom face to face it takes a second to go from someone’s toes to their head, great if your crosshair is on them, horrible if it’s slightly off and you need to quickly adjust. Needless to say past mid range it’s way more difficult to aim for those that haven’t practiced. When you micro adjust there’s no AA active (I think that’s to combat the stick drift AA issue). That’s more a result of slow ADS speeds, if you adjust your ADS above 25% it no longer feels as strong. It no longer drags your crosshair for you, but slowdown is still noticeable (significantly weaker than before) close to mid ADS. While this death is intended to be permanent, the player can resume their save and continue from their previous loop. This will cause a "You Are Dead" message to display if the player is killed while the Ash Twin Project is disabled and the player is returned to the main menu. The Ash Twin Project is explained to be the reason for the time loop mechanic and disabling the project will prevent the player's memories from being sent back in time 22-minutes upon death. If the player dies before linking with the Nomai statue, the game effectively restarts.Īnother way this ending is achieved is by dying after removing the Advanced Warp Core from the Ash Twin Project. Common ways this can occur are: jumping in the campfire, fall/collision damage, walking into the ghost matter field, or jumping into a geyser and drowning. The most common way to receive this ending is from dying at the start of the game before the player is able to link with the Nomai statue upon leaving the Observatory. The Game Over Ending is achieved by dying while the player is not connected with the Ash Twin Project through the Nomai mask.

Now that we are aware of the history of moshing, let’s get into some basic mosh pits that you will see at metal shows. Maybe one’s idea of mosh isn’t as popular or isn’t done anymore, but that doesn’t mean that moshing is over as a whole. I go to shows almost every weekend and people are still moshing. Mosh pits are still organized chaos with a lot of pushing and shoving, but now some pits have been transformed into dance floors with karate kicks, arm swings, and 2 steps. Now with metalcore, deathcore, and a new wave of hardcore, moshing began to change. You now see crowd-surfing and stage diving at almost any metal show.Īfter grunge, moshing, crowd-surfing, and stage diving thrived in the nu metal (think Korn) and death metal (think Dying Fetus) communities. This is where crowd-surfing and stage diving came into play as well. And guess what followed this genre? Yup, you guessed it: Moshing. Soon, music evolved from thrash to Seattle-based grunge community (think Nirvanna and Alice in Chains). The song Caught In A Mosh helped lift the taboo and negative thinking about moshing and turned it into a fun thing to do at a metal show. With thrash spreading like wildfire with the help of Metallica and Megadeth, moshing spread with it. Moshing then eased its way into the Thrash community with major help from Anthrax (they have a song called ‘Caught In A Mosh’). The crowd feeds off the band’s energy, so with their loud personality and attitude, it translated into the crowd becoming rowdy. The attitude of the hardcore/punk bands at the time (Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, and Bad Brains, etc.) had a certain attitude while playing. Moshing (also known as “slam dancing”) originated with the hardcore community in Washington D.C. I am a history major so you already know homegirl loves doing some research. Now, before we get into the moshing etiquette and the different types of mosh pits, let’s talk about the history of moshing. Ryan Kirby (Lead Singer) from Fit For a King But, I have decided to be a homie and help my fellow metalheads out and explain the different types of mosh pits and where you can expect to see each mosh pit. Overall, the show was really fun and I got to meet a couple of people. I was talking to multiple people in all the bands that played that night, and they all said the same thing: It was weird to see people trying to crowdkill. A wall of death does not work like that at all. When the break down hit, instead of running towards each other, people started 2 stepping and crowdkilling. The lead singer for Constellation Atlas, Kevin, asked the crowd to form a wall of death. Sometimes it works, but for the most part, it doesn’t, and people just look really weird trying to 2 step to metalcore. There were a lot of hardcore fans at the show and they were trying to crowdkill to these bands. Now, this is a metalcore show, but DHP is known for its hardcore community. I went to see Fit For a King, Like Moths to Flames, Currents, Constellation Atlas, and Patheos at the Drunk Horse Pub (DHP) in Fayetteville, NC. For example: Metalcore has push pits/circle pits, and deathcore and hardcore have crowdkilling, etc. There are different types of pits depending on the genre. What’s up Butcher Crew! So, I have been to a handful of shows this summer, and I have realized something… Some people have no idea what they are doing in a mosh pit. Shattered Memories: Better on the PS2 or the Wii Question Looking into grabbing a copy of this classic, just want to know which version is considered superior (since the damn thing is gonna probably cost me a good chunk of cash). Intro/Rant: I'm not trying to make you hate this game.Billed as a re-imagining of the original Silent Hill, Shattered Memories once again casts you as Harry Mason searching across the haunted town for his missing daughter Cheryl. Here's the introductory movie which plays when you idle for too long on the start screen of the game. The Blind Run was a "terrible dad" run, and the Good Run is a "start off a sex-crazed jerk to get a certain character, then try undo it and see if we can get a good guy ending" run. As a result of it being a blind-run, I didn't know when to cut off the episodes, so the blind run and good run episodes will not be "synced" in regards to game progress. The Nintendo Wii version was released December 8th, 2009 in North America, and the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions were released on January 19th, 2010. So I made a good LP too, which shows off as much as possible within reason/sanity and is recorded like someone who actually knows what they're doing. But it also explains why some of the scares, atmosphere, and tone felt off. So, along with cruddy audio and pretty damn irritating commentary due to being an excited little sperg to play this game, it made for a heinously ugly, shitty LP. In Shattered Memories, you will visit new locations, solve different puzzles, and encounter characters that you have never seen in a Silent Hill game before.Even Dahlia is no longer an old cult leader, but rather a young, party-loving mistress of Harry (depending on your 'psych profile'). And I recorded it in a most impressively awful way. It's a choose-your-own-adventure story except the story isn't… actually… really… "affected" at all by your choices, just the ending. K, who I assume has been hired to help us overcome our addiction to prank-calling. Well, rather, we're in therapy, recounting the story to our douchebag doctor, Dr. The game follows Harry Mason, writer and professional funny-face maker, as he struggles to search for his missing daughter in Silent Hill while being endlessly distracted by shiny objects, things that make a lot of noise, and his irrational urge to prank call every phone number he sees. After playing for a bit and realizing how many graphical glitches there were, I decided to save, download the latest version of PPSSPP, delete the old one, put the memcard where the new version wants it to be, and keep playing form there. The advertising for the game emphasized the horror (amplified by the lack of combat) and the story which was (seemingly) very strongly influenced by "psychological factors" which the game takes into account while you play. Yesterday I started playing Shattered Memories on an old version of PPSSPP (it didn't even have D3D11). It was released on December 9th, 2009 for the Wii, PS2 and PSP. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (which shall henceforth be called "ShatMemz") is a horror-themed adventure game "survival horror" video game and is a reimagining of the first game in the Silent Hill series. Chip: "I feel like I'm looking at a promotional poster for a Harry Potter movie." It is clear that bowling, in its ancestral form of skittles, shares a common origin with ground billiards, as the two game types share both the basic objective, to direct a rolling ball towards one or more targets, and similar equipment, aside from the mace. The game's relationships to bowling, golf, hockey, and bat-and-ball games are not entirely certain. Ground and table billiards were played contemporaneously, : 36 and the outdoor version remained known until at least the beginning of the 19th century : 4 derived lawn games like croquet continue to the present day. Some later stick-and-ball games, including cricket, also evolved multiple pin targets over time. : 3, 6, 7 : 57–67 Use of the king pin declined first in most areas, followed by the abandonment of the port arch, though many variants featured both as well as pockets, : 57–67 while the king survived and even multiplied in some cases, leading to such modern cue games as five-pins. Engraving from Charles Cotton's 1674 book, The Compleat Gamester, showing the same game, including port and king, and finely-developed maces, being played on a 17th-century pocket billiards tableĮven in the late 17th to early 18th centuries, indoor billiards was essentially the same game, with smaller equipment and played on a bounded table, with or without pockets. More exotic and earlier origins have also been proposed. The location of origin is obscure, with various scholars tracing it to medieval France, Italy, Spain, England, Germany, or more than one of these areas. This variant uses short, crude mallets, the port, and a round-bottomed king pin.ĭating back to at least the 15th century as a tabletop game, : 117 : 5 and in recognizable form to as early as the 14th, : 4 this proto-billiards game appears to have been ancestral to croquet (19th century), trucco (17th century also known as trucks or lawn billiards), pall-mall (16th century), jeu de mail (15th century), and indoor cue sports (15th century if not earlier – what is usually meant by billiards today). 1300s (1801 woodcut reproduction of 14th century image). As a broader classification, the term is sometimes applied to games dating back to classical antiquity that are attested via difficult-to-interpret ancient artworks and rare surviving gaming artifacts. Its relationship to games played on larger fields, such as hockey, golf, and bat-and-ball games, is more speculative. The game, which cue-sports historians have called "the original game of billiards", : 117 developed into a variety of modern outdoor and indoor games and sports such as croquet, pool, snooker, and carom billiards. Ground billiards is a modern term for a family of medieval European lawn games, the original names of which are mostly unknown, played with a long-handled mallet (the mace), wooden balls, a hoop (the pass), and an upright skittle or pin (the king). Single opponents shown in illustrations doubles or teams mentioned in 1674 indoor rules This version uses a port (arch) and conical king pin, is bounded by a wicker railing, and appears to make use of one ball per player, with more than two players.
